Daisy is a Diesel Engine is a green diesel engine with a single car.  We first met her when Thomas the Tank Engine was going to be repaired after a collision with the station master’s house.   Thomas thought that he could start and stop as he wanted, but he realized he was wrong right before slamming into station master’s home and ruining his breakfast.   Daisy was sent to take over Thomas place while was being mended. 

Daisy came to the line with an elevated appreciation of herself.  She refused to stay in one engine because it was too smelly, which would be bad for her swerves.  When she went to the carriage shed she called Annie, Clarabel, and Henrietta rubbish, which hurt their feelings.  She refused to pull a milk cart because believed that pulling would be bad for her swerves.  As she told it, her fitter told her that she is highly sprung and pulling is bad for her swerves.   Although Daisy did get her way when it came to pulling the milk cart, over time she learned to be more of a team player.  Daisy and many of the other friends on Thomas and Friends have all learned valuable lessons throughout time.
